Lucy continues to live the good life…
Her California existence means being lavished with all her family can provide. She and her brother (Luigi, a Golden) make frequent trips to the spa for grooming. Reportedly, they come back smelling so good.
We Love those after bath moments!
Having help makes all the difference for Lucy, Luigi, Idelle, and Bob!
On occasion Idelle and Bob escape to their desert retreat. Lucy cannot tolerate the pesky gnats or the extreme high temperatures. When they must leave the kids home, they are blessed to be able to rely on Janet. Here are Idelle’s comments regarding her wonderful pet sitter:
Janet comes over 2 – 3 times every week and then on occasion she comes to get the kids and takes them for the day. That way they can play with their friends. In their play group they have a German Short Hair Pointer, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, a Goldendoodle, 3 Chihuahuas, and a mixed breed rescue dog plus some other Goldens now and then. They always have so much fun and come home very tired!! Janet is truly a Blessing to have in our lives and besides the play dates of course she watches them while we are on vacation and does many other favors to help us out.
Lucy also visits her grandparents. Most of these photos are from such a trip where Lucy and Max had a good time together. Lucy reported, nonetheless, that Max was a little nosy for her taste. Max was unfazed by Lucy’s comments and went about his business.
At home Lucy and Luigi make sport of entertaining their Mom and Dad with their antics.
Lucy’s main jobs are to entertain, guard the home when her parents are gone, and provide therapy after a long work day. Idelle, Lucy’s Mom is part of a surgical team that often sees long hours in a high stress situation. Lucy needs to provide that soul-to-soul connection in a way only she can accomplish it. Weims are very intuitive and know just how to touch our heart after a very long day.
Luigi breaks up this serious discussion by pointing out that he is in charge of comic relief. He reminds Lucy to not take herself too seriously. He does this ever so cleverly when he absconds with her favorite toy and teases her to get a reaction. Much like a human brother would to.
Picture Idelle writing me while the kids taunt each other and carry on. Such is life with the Weimaraner.
It not only makes for a lot of laughter, but warms a person’s heart.
Where has the time gone???
Lucy will be 5 years old on July 23rd. Can you believe it? We cannot!
We thank Bob and Idelle for their dedication and special love for Lucy. With Lucy’s birthday only a few weeks from now, we send greetings and a special birthday wish.
