We absolutly love our Blue Weimaraner. We named her Remi. The process from birth to having her home has been the best! We are so happy with our puppy and highly recommend anyone interested in getting a Weimaraner go through OwyheeStar. We actually had a big party planned the day the pups were born and we got an email letting us know that Rosie was in labor. We fired up our laptop and brought it out for everyone to watch the progress as each pup was born and new photos with birth weights were listed on the website. We looked forward to every week because we knew there would be new pictures and we even got videos in our inbox frequently. This assured us about OywheeStar’s breeding process and the puppy’s health. It can be a bit nerve racking to buy a puppy online and then have it flown to you, but we felt so good about OywheeStar and the updates, pictures, vidoes and educational materials they provided was even more comforting. We knew they were a great breeder to go through!
As for our little pup Remi, well, she is doing just great! The day we brought her home we played fetch in the backyard! We are in awe of how smart she is. She became house-broken after three days in our home and last night (night four) she started to use her hunting instincts and began to point. Wow! She even slept thorugh the night on night three. We are shocked! She is also quite the cute little thing. She melts our hearts. She is so loving and just wants to be around us as much as she can. What a treat! As we write this she is sitting at our feet happily chewing on a pig ear.
If anyone reading this is interested in contacting us for a reference, please feel free to ask OyheeStar for our contact information.

We thank you ever so much for your kind thoughts. We are glad that Remi is all you dreamed about having. Our goal (as you know) is to do everything we can to keep our puppy homes in the loop. All the while behind the scenes we are working with the pups every day. Experiences might vary depending upon how many updates we can get done but we try to faithful adhere to our goals. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and it melts our hearts to know Remi is in such a great home. BTW–Cliff and Shela never planned on selling pups via the Internet, however, we soon learned the best candidates found us –via the Internet. We also got to select from the cream of the crop. It still blows us away!
Cliff and Shela, Rudi here!
Just wanted to let you know that my new pets are almost trained thanks to all of the emails and information on the OwyheeStar blog!! Without it I think they would be lost.
Crate training is fantastic! My new pets think they can hold me and cuddle all the time, Thankfully, there is a place I can go to get away from all of the love! I really like it at night and many times I put myself to bed. I messed with them for three or four nights by getting up repeatedly so they could see me and take me outside. That got a little old so I thought I would just sleep through the night! I bet they miss me.
House training was a snap! Thanks to my quick adaptation to the crate, I easily mastered house training! My pets usually know when I want to go outside, however, sometimes I whine at the door to let them know.
I must let you know that I am not overly happy about the information on the blog about biting. I don’t think I want to quite give in yet. My pets are very persistent about saying “No”, and holding my nose, but I nip in spite of all of the good information. I know it is wrong, but I still like to bite just to keep them on their toes.
I think there should be a blog on how very quickly my pet’s laps shrink! Although I still like some lap time, I seem to fall off one side or the other! They just aren’t as comfortable as they used to be.
I exercise them frequently and they set me in the water occasionally whether I want them to or not! I swim to shore like I have been doing it for years.
My pets really like you and @wy#eeSt&r (my paws keep getting bigger and somtimes I fat finger when I type, sorry). They can see that you worked with me to settle, swim, eat yogurt (Yum!), and, generally, to be very well adjusted. They think I am the best puppy ever! From the start they knew they found a guality breeder that had my best interest at heart! They really liked the puppy videos and pictures, in addition to all of the information on the blog! I, especially like the vaccine information! My pets found a cool vet that understands what you are saying about vaccinations!! I like that!
All in all, I really like John and Robyn!

Wow Rudi I am glad you were able to whip the human pets into line! Everything sounds perfect with the universe surrounding you. Isn’t that just as it should be???? All-in-all things look to be progressing well. Thanks for writing us a note. We also received some awesome pictures from your Mom and Dad (AKA your pets). You have a very good sense of humor. Hugs from Cliff and Shela

I figured I would drop a few lines to let prospective puppy buyers know how great you and Cliff are and our Blue Boy! My daughters loved getting to see new picture updates every weekend. The day you sent out the email saying Rosie was in Labor we checked every hour to see if there were updates and some how you guys managed during all the hussle to get updates posted. I’m very thrilled you found us special enough to give one of Rosie’s pups a forever home.
For people who might be leary about a Weim with smaller children let me tell you Cooper is great with Marrissa (4) Cheyenne (2) and Gavin (5 months). We might have just gotten lucky but he has never gotten out of line with any of the kids. He is so Gavin’s though. I put Gavin to bed the other night pretty early so I didn’t want to put Cooper in his crate well that didn’t work out. Once he saw that Gavin was in bed he started scratching at his door crying so he could go in there. He is always near by and very loving. I was impressed how Cooper just laid there yesterday while Gavin was kicking around. His feet would even get Cooper once in a while and he would just lay next to him watching over him. We have managed sit, lay, stay, not getting up until he is released, house breaking and crate training. We are in the process of teaching fetching and walking on a leash like he has some sense. Again we can’t thank you guys enough for such a great experience and a great pup.

At first Cliff and I were worried about placing a pup with Alicia. She lived a long ways from here and with the heat upon us early we knew shipping a pup would probably not work. Alicia was insistent and convinced me she was willing to make this work no matter what. She doesn’t fit our normal mold for a Weim family but who says there should be a mold anyhow. As you an see she has been very successful and done well with small children and a Weim pup. To her credit though, we don’t think Alicia is average. She has a knack for handling her Weimy………….thanks for doing such a great job.

Hello Nicole, I did write you a private Email too! I will make this public comment though. We are getting an increased number of inquiries from Germany. Most of them are for Blue Weimaraners and several are for Blue Longhairs. We find that very interesting. The Weimaraner Club of America (WCA) has openly advertised and campaigned against any breeder that would raise a blue. Despite their attempts to quell the growing number of requests for a Blue Weimaraner now this seems to be expanding to requests for a Blue Longhair Weimaraner. We find this very interesting. Recently we added a few longhairs. We hope to raise a limited number of longhairs in the future. Thank you for writing to us and please refer to the much more detailed Email response.
