  1. Hi Shela,
I took Apollo to the vet the other day for shots, check up, etc… They’ve been booked so we had to wait to get him in.

I wanted to let you know that the vet has taken your name, contact info to pass along to any serious people looking for Weims in the future. She was absolutely speechless about how perfect he was. She said that in all the years she’d been a vet, she’s never seem such an impressive physical specimen… and he’s incredibly smart to boot… His health is perfect… he’s already over 30lbs… amazing.

He’s doing very well within our group of dogs and has already shown he’ll be the leader in the future… he’s very assertive and absolutely fearless!!!
I did want to let you know that on his back, he has a little birth spot with normal tan/brown weim hair… right in the middle of all of that blue/grey! Weird.

Thanks so much again for our little guy!

  2. Shela,

Just a short note to let you know that Arliss and Company are doing Great!!

As I tell everyone that makes a comment on what a good dog he is, it’s because of his first days of life with Grandma and Grandpa (Shela & Cliff)
I just had to add a little fluff the next 8 weeks.

    Thank you
Arleen, Abigail, Anna Belle and Arliss

  3. Shela, Thank you for the retirement info. Steve recognizes the same strong Stillwater Run traits he enjoyed with Lila in Bella! Yes, they are “full on” in everything they do! Bella has the most wonderful ability to be intensely engaged whether in retrieving or assisting with clean up around the property. She will drag limbs to the burn pile…(and back out if you don’t watch her) bite weeds if she sees you pulling them, locate kongs, balls in deep woods, tall dry grasses or go in the river for ‘em. She can jump into the back of the truck for short rides around the property or into the crate happily to go anywhere. She is very good with other dogs and children too. Her best friend is a standard poodle she plays with at the barn. They run through ditches together and over 20 acres of lawn, pasture and woods. Then she is the most loving, kind and affectionate companion, wanting to be touching you or just being in the same room at your feet. She has an adorable habit of showing affection by carefully “giving you a front teeth (flea biting like)” nibble all over, it really tickles and if you laugh she can really work you over!
Okay..enough rambling about our beautiful Ciao Bella…will send pics along as I get a chance. Love Italy & Steve

  4. well, it says 2+ years folks with testimonials but have to just put in a quick thanks for Matti and all she has brought to us since we brought her home in September. Had a judge in our shop recently who commented she was the best looking weim he has seen outside a show ring so you guys are doing it ALL right. Keep up the good work

    • I am not sure what exactly I was thinking when I said 2 years. I guess I was thinking that a person who has had their OwyheeStar Weim longer packs a better reference than a new person. Thanks anyhow………..we appreciate you and your reference ~ Shela and Cliff

  5. Hi Shela n Cliff, Molly is doing just G R E A T. She weighs in between 65 – 70 lbs. I switched over to the holistic food by Eagle Brand some time ago. I get the fish and sardine kind. When I went to get her another bag of it, Pet Express told me that they have joined with Wellness Foods. I can not find on the Pkg. any where that it’s EAGLE BRAND dog food at all. But Molley still enjoys eating it. As well does Tigher the cat. I still have my problems with falling but Molley is there every time to help me stand up. Molley is so good to me, just like my mother. I found out a few months ago that my inner ear had a few problems. I had a Vestublar test, because I seamed to have trouble with dizzy spells. Well I failed the test in all areas that they tested. So I had 16 weeks of intense therapy and it has helped a lot. Molley noticed it first and I told the Dr. about how she always knew when I was having dizzy spell. She is by the smartest dog, that I have ever known. As you know, I have owned several weims in the past.

    • Eagle Pack Foods sold out to the Wellness Company. The food is pretty much the same with some improvements. The new company has been really good to us!

We are thrilled to hear about Molly! I truly believe she was a gift of God for you. We know she is smart, but the type of thing she is doing to enhance your life is beyond intelligence. You said you wanted a therapy Weim. There are not too many of those around. Most are more than two years old before they mellow enough to begin such a journey. We knew Molly had a lot of get up and go but you have done fantastic with her. Thank You
